He ate Dasher, then Dancer, Then Prancer and Vixen. And Donner and Blitzen. Yes he ate them all, the most Famous undead reindeer of all: Rudolph, the Zombie reindeer, Caught the virus through his nose. And if you ever saw him, You would even say he's gross. All of the other reindeer Tried real hard to get away. But they didn't count on Rudolph Eating them anyway. Then one foggy Christmas Eve, Santa came to say: "Rudolph, with your Zombie blight, Who's gonna pull my sleigh tonight?" Rudolph instead just ate him, Munching Santa's brain with glee, Rudolph, the Zombie reindeer, You changed Christmas history! Current Mood: silly

First let me begin by telling you about The Storm. This is probably how they refer to it there in the Monterey Bay area. The biggest, baddest storm in a decade, they said! At least half the town of Monterey was without power for over a day, including our hotel that never did regain power the whole time we stayed there! There was rain! There was wind! There was ... well that was about it really. Now I'm not one to call people who reside on the left coast wimps. Because I'm sure they're not ALL wimps. But if that storm shut down the whole town, what would they do if a real storm came around? There was not ONE bolt of lightning, not ONE clap of thunder, not ONE teensy piece of hail, and not even a hint of tornado! Around here we call that kind of storm BORING. But it was a huge thing there, and we couldn't do any of the things we had wanted to do. the sea got a little riled up. We originally were gonna go hiking or something, but couldn't do that because of The Storm. So instead we decided to go see Zombieland because we never get to go to movies and here was our One Chance! But as we were walking to the theater people started pouring out because the power had gone out. Around here when the power goes out, it's almost always a temporary thing, so we periodically drove back by the theater to see if it was back on. But no. So we decided to drive inland and see if we could find another theater (of course it never occurred to us to ask someone where there might be one). So we drove around aimlessly, driving through Seaside and then over to Marina where Greg lived when he was like 4. There was a new shopping area at this one exit so we drove around it, but no theater. As we turned to go back to the highway I had to blink, for the sight in front of me was something from a dream and could not have been real. WHAT. IS. THAT? I asked. "Oh that's Fort Ord" says Greg, like I had asked him about a 7-11 or something. Uh... so all this time he knew THAT was THERE, and he didn't SAY anything??? WTF is WRONG with people?? I mean you KNOW what I like and there was NO MENTION of a GIANT ABANDONED FORT in YOUR OLD TOWN?? He lived practically across the street from this thing and he went to preschool with kids who lived there and he KNEW it was abandoned now! WTF Greg! This is straight out of a dream... It went on and on and on... ( 10 more pictures behind the cut )So that was our Fort Ord adventure. Stay tuned for next time - FORT ORD the NEXT DAY! (You didn't think I wouldn't go back with the big camera, did you?? ;) Tags: abandoned things, adventure, california, fort ord, vacations Current Mood: tired

Undead moan, are you listening? In the lane, blood is glistening. A horrible sight, We're screaming tonight, Runnin through a Zombie wonderland. Already turned, is our neighbor! Zombies here, I belabor. They moan their own song, As we scream along, Sprintin through a Zombie wonderland. In the meadow, we can beg for mercy. They've already eaten Parson Brown. They'll come for us next, And we'll say, "No man!" We're getting' the hell out of this town. Later on, we'll perspire, As we scream, by the fire. I'll say we're afraid Of the Zombies they've made, Runnin' through a Zombie wonderland. Current Mood: silly

Fresh brains roasting on an Open fire, Zombies chewing off your nose It all began when they ate the whole choir. They're even eating Eskimos. Everybody knows a leg bone and someone's toes Make a Zombie's season bright. Tiny tots, with their eyes in a bowl, Will find it hard to see tonight! We know Zombie Santa's on his way; He's eaten lots of boys and girls in his sleigh, And every mother's child is going to spy To see if Zombie reindeer really know how to fly. And so I'm running to get out of here Before the Zombies eat me too. Although it's been said about the Undead, If you don't run, they will feast on you. Current Mood: silly
